Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Logvea is a product operated by LayerNine Ltd, a company incorporated in England and Wales. When this policy refers to "we", "us", or "our", it means LayerNine Ltd.

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, you can contact us at hello@logvea.com.

2. What data we collect

We collect data in two ways: data you give us directly, and data collected automatically when you use Logvea.

  • Account data: your name, email address, and password when you register.
  • Business data: information about your business, services, team members, and customers that you enter into Logvea.
  • Payment data: billing information processed securely through our payment provider. We do not store card details directly.
  • Usage data: how you navigate and use the platform, including pages visited, features used, and session duration.
  • Device data: browser type, IP address, and operating system, collected automatically.

3. How we use your data

  • To provide and maintain the Logvea service.
  • To process payments and manage your subscription.
  • To send transactional emails such as booking confirmations and reminders.
  • To send product updates and announcements (you can opt out at any time).
  • To improve the product based on how it is used.
  • To comply with legal obligations under UK law.

4. Legal basis for processing

Under the UK GDPR, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract: processing necessary to provide the service you signed up for.
  • Legitimate interests: improving our product and communicating with users about relevant updates.
  • Legal obligation: where we are required to retain or share data under UK law.
  • Consent: for optional marketing communications and analytics cookies.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only with:

  • Service providers: third-party tools that help us operate Logvea (e.g. payment processors, email delivery, cloud infrastructure, analytics). These providers are contractually bound to process data only on our instructions.
  • Google Analytics: if you accept analytics cookies, we share anonymised usage data (pages visited, session duration, device type) with Google LLC to help us understand how Logvea is used. Google may process this data in the United States. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Legal authorities: where required by law, regulation, or court order.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, unless we are required to retain it for legal or financial purposes.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal obligations).
  • Object to or restrict certain types of processing.
  • Receive your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@logvea.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use two categories of cookies:

  • Essential cookies: required for the platform to function — keeping you logged in, maintaining your session, and enabling core features. These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies: used to understand how visitors navigate Logvea, which pages are most visited, and how long sessions last. These are powered by Google Analytics and are only set with your consent.

When you first visit Logvea, you will be shown a cookie banner where you can accept or decline analytics cookies. You can change your preferences at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for logvea.com.

We use Google Analytics 4 with Consent Mode, which means no analytics data is collected unless you explicitly accept analytics cookies.

9. Security

We take the security of your data seriously. Logvea uses HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you by email or through the platform.

11. Contact & complaints

For any privacy-related questions, contact us at hello@logvea.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
